Preparation of a Single Mom
My best friend was always smart. She graduated near the top of her high school class and forever had a knack for reading boring law documents and actually retaining and interpreting what they said. She wanted to become a lawyer from the time she was little and we all thought that was her assured path in life. Well, she got pregnant a year into college and found herself a single mom. The schooling that becoming a lawyer requires just didn’t seem possible at this point and she left school. After a year she decided that she would pursue paralegal studies and still be able to be involved in law. It was a great compromise for her. She’s already successful and in demand. Most importantly she’s making money and supporting herself.
