I Learned a Hard Lesson With the New Power Washer I Bought

I had to do something about the horrible mold and mildew all over the sidewalk and driveway before my son’s graduation party. I looked into hiring a power washer guy to do it for me but I am very cheap and would rather tackle things on my own. Long story short, it was a mistake I will never forget. I went out and bought a new power washer and some type of cement cleaner to help me with the mold and mildew problem. I got home and put gas in the power washer, hooked up the water hose and fired up the unit. It worked great as I started to clean the area I was concerned about. Then the phone rang so I ran up on the porch to answer it, I was on the phone for about five minutes when all of a sudden the power washer shut off. I hung up and ran out to see what happened. I started the power washer back up and it would not spray. I took the power washer back to the store and they shipped it back to the manufacturer. It turns out I let the water pump overheat by not pulling the trigger for those five minutes which helps keep the pump cool. Even though the power washer had a bypass it was not enough and I ruined the pump. I should have hire a professional power washer to do the work.
