Fitness Goes Mobile!
With so many school age children being cared for in after-school programs, the gym teacher came with a great idea to keep them busy and offer a health benefit as well…mobile fitness. After contacting the local affiliate of Eugene Fitness Equipment, the entire program was laid out and with their assistance, we found all of these youngsters eager and ready to play but with a plan. The equipment was little more than a few basic pieces that could remain on campus but it was great to see the children being more active for with so many academic requirements made in our classrooms today, there has been less emphasis placed on the activity that is needed to develop the whole child.
