We have all heard about renewable solar energy and what the potential is for this technology. The problem for me is that it is very hard to work out exactly where we are now with it.

What I mean is will it ever really be able to power the electricity production for the whoole world or will it always just be a token effort for us.

It is worrying when we think about things like peak oil and we will akll very much remember the recent sky high prices for fuel. Surely this will only get worse and worse as oil beins to run out.
