My International backhoe is in need of repairs, and I’m a bit upset about the situation.

I own a construction company, and I have several employees. I buy nothing but International equipment. It is durable and dependable. Every piece of machinery I have owned has given me several years of worry-free use. Preventative maintenance must be performed, but that goes without saying… or at leat I thought so. When I hire a new employee, I am sure to stress the maintenance portion of the operator's job duties. This is for the new employee's benefit, as well as mine. If the equipment is in proper working order, it will be safe for the employee to operate and I won't have to pay for costly repairs. I had to fire an employee today. I hated to do it, but I didn't have a choice. My international backhoe is in need of repairs, because the operator neglected to check and grease the drive shaft on the equipment pump. Now, I have to have the backhoe fixed before it will be operable. I'm upset about the situation, because the man was a very good operator. By not checking and greasing the backhoe properly, he cost me a lot of money and he endangered the lives of himself and others. I cannot be tolerant of that behavior.
