Basics of Florida Notary Renewal

Being a notary public in the state of Florida gives notaries a service appointment term of four years. At the end of that term, notaries must initiate a Florida notary renewal. A Florida notary renewal is identical to the application process for a first-time applicant. Individuals are required to go through a three-hour Notary Public Education class in person or over the Internet. If the training classes are taken online, a timer will track to make sure that at least three hours are spent on the material. A certificate is given (or printed out, in the case of online classes) and must be presented to an approved bonding agency for processing of the notary public application. A bond of $7,500 is also necessary.
