What Is The Difference Between Tacit Knowledge And Explicit Knowledge?
There are two types of knowledge and they are tacit and explicit. The tacit type of knowledge is a form of subconscious knowledge that the person who has it may not realize that they have this knowledge until it come to the time when they would have to use it. This type of knowledge is added to knowledge management when it is discovered. Then there is explicit knowledge is the knowledge that a person holds explicitly and they do realize that they have this knowledge and they have the decision to share it or not. This knowledge gets added and organized with in the knowledge management right away. Sharing the information in such a way as to benefit a whole organization could be termed as collaborative knowledge management or CKM; this makes sense because individuals in any organization often learn by experimentation what works best in their particular role – with CKM they can share this information with the whole organization and everyone can benefit from their “on-the-job” knowledge.
