You get Critical illness insurance today, have better life tomorrow

Most of us enjoy our health, often this is taken for granted but we cannot guarantee this will be the situation for the rest of our lives; fortunately, the benefits of critical illness insurance are being experienced by many people who have seen this make a big difference just when they needed it. This is a case of providing the essentials of living in today's world for your loved ones in the event of your untimely death.Research has shown that planning for critical illness is a wise move as statistically the chance of this happening is actually high, so much so that insurance providers now offer this type of policy quite routinely. These studies make for somber reading when you consider around one in five men will contract one of these conditions before they reach retirement age. Although women fare a little better with a one in six chance this does not make for pleasant reading. It could be ignorance or just a general hatred of critical illness insurance cover that stops people from starting these plans. The truth is spending the rest of your life in  electric wheel chairs are as good as being critically ill.  Although this type of protection is taken out for many reasons, the majority of people use it to protect their mortgage repayments but these days, critical illness cover and life insurance can be linked directly with mortgage repayments.Whilst over the last few years the amount of insurance policies arranged online has increased dramatically, not every type of policy was available but coverage for critical illness has now been added. There are still some teething problems with this type of facility with insurance companies realizing it may not be as easy as they thought. This is because many insurance providers who offer this type of coverage wish to have the applicant take a medical examination by an independent physician to ensure there is nothing untoward right from the start. Insurers do not want to alienate their critical illness insurance customers so are learning to be more sympathetic when contacted.Smokers are unfortunately treated as higher risk applicants; this includes anyone who has smoked within the previous year, and as a consequence they are placed in a high risk category. Smoking is considered extremely hazardous to your health but other factors must be considered as well because you may have a dangerous job or pastime, you may be aging or already suffer with poor health.Whilst critical illness insurance will not cure a person, the financial help it provides to a person who has a terminal illness cannot be dismissed. Anyone that cares about their family and what could happen to them in the event of a serious medical condition arising should take out this type of insurance if for no other reason than peace of mind.
