The different Wedding ceremonies

When two people get married whether in a civil ceremony or religious one, it is called a wedding; many changes have been made to the law surrounding a marriage in the last twenty years or so. Whilst the ceremony may occur in a church or other religious place the marriage is not recognized until the legal duties are performed; the marriage certificate must be signed at the end of the service for the law to legitimize the couple's relationship. A woman taking part in the ceremony is called a bride, a man called a bridegroom; the terms husband and wife are then the traditional terms to use after the ceremony. Religious Wedding Services Of course other wedding traditions can be much more complicated as soon as you look into different race, social classes and ethnic groups to name a few. Traditionally the church is the most popular venue, where the ceremony is presided over by a Christian priest. These ceremonies are usually referred to as white weddings and are considered formal or semi-formal in the United Kingdom, Ireland and United States, as well as some other Commonwealth countries. Multiple Weddings A rare type of marriage is where two separate couples decide to marry at the same time; typically, a person with a brother or sister might plan this type of occasion with that sibling. Foreign Resort Weddings When some couples decide to get married in another country, they are known as destination weddings however before this, getting a  background check is important; it doesn't matter exactly where you travel to, whether it is in Egypt or just to Las Vegas it will still be considered a destination wedding. Getting Married on a Weekend Break Two day or weekend weddings are a great way to extend the ceremony and festivities as an increasing number of people are finding out. Other occasions come under the term of either themed or special activity which usually takes place over a weekend period. Lodging is usually at the same facility and couples often host a Sunday brunch for the weekend's finale. An Online Wedding Ceremony Still in the early stages of evolution is the internet wedding where the couple is married online; internet based specialists are already available to help organize your ceremony. An online wedding also refers to where a couple decides to have their marriage ceremony broadcast live on the internet. City Hall Marriages Civil weddings have to be carried out by a local justice of the peace, judge, even a mayor can carry out the ceremony and most places out side of a church will use one of these people. These ceremonies do not normally make any reference to God as they are a legal ceremony only. Many civil ceremonies take place in local town or city halls or courthouses in judge's chambers.Hopefully this article will have provided you with a few ideas for a wedding venue; many more exist however, if you want something completely different.
